Anglesea Golf Club - 1 Star. A terrible dining experience. When our party of 7 arrived, we were told that we didnโ€™t have a booking (even though we called the previous day to confirm a table). We were initially told we were unlikely to get a table as it was the long weekend but after some time they managed to find a couple of smaller tables to push together to seat us. This could have been easily dismissed as a small oversight but worse was yet to come. When we went up to the counter to order we were told they had RUN OUT OF GARLIC BREAD (how hard it it to make more?) and it was suggested we buy some tiny dinner rolls instead for $2 a piece. This was just the beginning of the ridiculous price gouge. One person on our table ordered an underwhelming vegetarian salad for $24.50 and was told they could add a sprinkle of feta for an additional $2.50. The food did arrive quickly (hence the 1 star) but it was average at best and the staff were unwilling to make any changes to the meals, such as serving a Parma with veggies instead of salad. We will...

We stayed at a local air bnb for my husbands birthday a few years ago. On his birthday we went here for lunch. My husband had a double lung transplant a year earlier & due to his suppressed immune system, whenever he has a side salad, it needs to be thoroughly re-rinsed just before it is served to him. He made this request when he put in his lunch order. A few minutes later, some white haired guy came out from the kitchen, furious. Instead of being professional & taking the time to enquire why, he very rudely, in a loud voice said "what's this about a salad needing to be washed. Of course our salads have been washed." before storming back into the kitchen. I personally was ready to cancel our order & find somewhere else to eat, but most of our group of 7, said not to let one persons rudeness bother us. Although the meal was pleasant enough, I would never return out...

Very reluctant to even give the restaurant of the golf club 1 star, incredibly disappointed. Ordered 4 meals, waited 20 + minutes, only to have our two lasagnas come out frozen and the gravy of our other meal ice cold. After an apology from the staff, they took it back, 10 minutes later said that they no longer had two lasagnas, but one, we accepted 1 refund and waited for our new meal whilst our partners had already finished and were now outside, another 20 minutes later they brought the meal out, which was cut in half and mangled, clearly being a reheat of the lasagna we had already had which was half frozen. We really didnโ€™t feel like having food poisoning for the rest of the weekend. What happened to using thermometers to check the temperature of the food before servingโ€ฆ Not impressed, we will not...

Was there around mid June. Stopped here whilst on the Great Ocean Road tour specifically for the Kangaroo tour and I am glad my partner and I did as we had an awesome time. Our tour guide, Ian was amazing and he knew quite a lot of facts about roos. He also offered a few facts on wallabies and koalas too which was a good add on. He took us round to the golf grounds for a 30 minute tour, where we were able to spot kangaroos and their joeys. We even had the chance to come out of the golf cart and get up close and personal with the lovely creatures. Had an amazing experience and I would highly recommend this activity for anyone doing the GOR tour. It is worth the stop!! As we had a bit more time we also had a chance to try out their driving range which was lovely too and a good pass time.

If seeing Kangaroos are on your list while visiting Australia, this is a must see. As your traveling "Great Ocean Road" stop ๐Ÿ›‘ at this golf course. For $12.50 each adult you will be taken by a large 12 seat golf cart onto the course property by an escort (30-40 total minutes). There are hundreds of Kangaroo that live here so within minutes of the ride you will stop. You are able to exit the cart if you wish, approach the Kangaroo within 6 feet to view and take photos. You can't get this close at a zoo! They are usually lounging in the shade and in groups. If you're lucky, you will see a baby (a joey)! There is an option to dine in the cafรฉ or purchase drinks here.

Very green with the Victoria rain showers this year. Kangaroos everywhere, and accustomed to the golfers. Greens werenโ€™t to fast so made for a good round of golf once you made it onto the green. Due to the CV19 the food options werenโ€™t available. The club house looked nice and airy for a drink after your rounds Lots of uphill walks so if you struggle with the hills Iโ€™d recommend a cart. Only issue was the exposure of the driving range to one of the fairways. Couple of sliced balls flew into the fairway while we walked up to the green.
