Ignore any reviews that are not up-to-date as the kitchen has been leased to “the grill house” and the food is 10/10. Everything is freshly painted. Seats and carpet are nice and new. Toilets are very clean. A nice relaxed vibe overlooking the kangaroos on the 18th hole as the sun sets. Can recommend. Only things to improve is the online booing said it was booked out till 7:30. But I think there is a 5 hour window where it won’t let you book. But it was super quiet anyway. And the online reviews. Obviously, as per previous reviews, there has been quite the changes here. I think “the grill house” needs the google reviews. The previous ones no longer apply. Good for thought. Overall good.

Food was , easy things to fix. Ribs were good with nice flavour. Onion rings were cold and soggy on the ribs and calamari needs a little greenery in between bites as it is quite spicy. Price a little high in general. A pint of rusty yak for 14.70 is absurd. Pizza oven caused us the most issues. Every time a pizza is collected a gust of wind comes through. Poor designing of the space and no solution available that I could gather. If booking request to not sit near the pizza oven! Great views of golf course and friendly kangaroos.

Let me first say that the food was very good, and our waitress (young American(?) woman) was amazing. So friendly, helpful and professional in handling my two young brothers. Sadly the man at the bar was the complete opposite. He was aggressive and unprofessional, even audibly insulting my brothers to other staff as my dad was paying for our five meals. I’m usually quite understanding but either this dude was having a bad day or he should find a new profession.

Salmon was not seasoned or sauced at all, overcooked, not just slightly but as in powdery… and came with vegetables that looked microwaved out of a frozen veggie packet.

Kids cheeseburger was a Turkish pide cut in half, a slice of half melted cheese and a beef Pattie thrown onto a bowl of undercooked chips. Not even a squirt of sauce, or a slap of butter. Chips don’t come with a side of sauce either.

Kids pizza, dollops of pizza sauce over the pizza with dollops of toppings in other spots. So you can either have a mouthful of dough and sauce, or dough and toppings.

Burger, again, on a half Turkish pide. A bit of relish, a tomato slice, slice of half melted cheese. Round bacon as thick as the beef Pattie. Not saying the beef pattie is thin, I’m saying the bacon was horribly over proportioned. Undercooked chips, would be nice chips if they were cooked through though.

Service - absolutely horrendous. Teenagers there seem miserable, but I would be too working for the manager who would have to be the rudest person I’ve encountered in hospitality.

We rolled the dice and decided to visit based on hearing new management/menu. We were very disappointed with the meals, but that was our gamble and loss. But it all came down to a simple request of a scoop of replacement ice cream from grandma. Hers was clearly a different type than what was on the other desserts, and was simply rock hard. The other plates are softening and melting. This one, I don’t know if it was a different brand, gone off or just a bad batch, but it was inedible. On the request, the manager swore under his breath as he walked away from my grandparents, not resolving the issue. We asked if we could find out if a replacement was coming and he threw his hands out and cursed under his breath again. I told him to stand his ground and help resolve the complain rather than storming off mumbling obscenities and he threatened to throw me out. I wasn’t fussed because I don’t be returning. He did offer a full refund.

Ruined a night out for the grandparents and my kids keep saying they hope they never see that manager...

Disgusting service, abysmal food. Akin to eating reheated frozen foods, dare I say worse than fast food. Bland, overcooked with little to no seasoning, dressing or even sauce. We were too polite to complain but it was the shocking service from the waiter that was the icing on the cake. He was also the apparent Manager, ‘FRED’ (not sure if alias or real). I say ‘apparent’ as we couldn’t believe he was the manager given how rude and disrespectful he was to the grandparents when they made a simple request. He made us feel unwelcome as it was all too inconvenient, swore and gestured under his breath and made smart alec comments, then tried to justify them. Completely unprofessional. Never returning. Grandparents say they’ve been going for 30 years and this has been the worst food and dining...

We had a truly horrific and degrading experience tonight, with one singular bar staff member named Juanita. This member of bar staff specifically didn’t know the victorian laws regarding 18 year olds being served food at clubs. The law specifically states that “unaccompanied minors are able to enter the premises if they are having a meal” which she was. She pointed her out in front of the whole restaurant saying she needed to leave and making her feel humiliated and degraded and told her to walk home by herself in the dark, and continued making snarky comments although we suggested the solution of us leaving and receiving a refund for our not yet received food. We had brilliant service from the bistro and rest of the bar staff, they were extremely accomodating and apologetic for the service...
