Green Hill Lake — Attraction in Ararat

The good word about Green Hill Lake is already out, but let me add to the message. This is a free camper's delight, a photographers dream and a day tripper's perfect drop in spot. Brilliant local volunteers with occasional help from Hopkins Prison have dramatically improved amenities and surrounds. There is easy parking, many and varied campsites and kilometres of walking to be had. Bring a kayak or a tinnie and beat the pelicans (in season) or cormorants to the fish. Maybe you'll say g'day...
