Arboretum Bicentennial Park is one of the many parks in Armidale, NSW. It is just about 1-2 km from the centre of the town. The park is a an excellent spot for picnicking and taking children for a recreational outing. It is also a nice spot for short walks with a gentle sloping footpath leading to a small clear lake built within the park. A variety of trees such as the poplar, pin oak, golden ash and cherry plum amongst others provide shady areas to sit and relax. The park has two roofed barbecue places and roofed play area for children. Highly spacious, it is a place for all ages.

A lovely park (not much of an arboretum, though). Was surprised that pushing the button to start the waterfall actually worked (my cynicism for finding so many things "broken" on our travels and not fixed by councils). The picnic shelter and playground was packed on the Sunday we were there for a kids birthday party and other picnickers. It's a pity so many ignored the "No Stopping" signs and so caused us angst in doing a turn to get to the dump point.

Very disappointed, lots of nice trees but no walking path through the middle. Such a shame if someone was in a wheelchair they couldn’t enjoy it. Also the only bridge was not accessible because it’s broken, was told by a local it’s been broken for years. Shame on you Armidale Council, get your act together if you want more tourism and visitors to the area !

A good place for the kids, they love the waterfall that you can turn on from the bridge. There is a good playground which is covered now, so good for all weather. The place could really use an upgrade to the public toilets and more regular garbage pickup. It's good but I think if the council could put some more work into the planting and gardens it would great. It's one of the to local choices for...
