Bua Thong — Restaurant in Armidale

As an avid Thai food fan, I have to say this place is such a gem. The food is very good, very authentic and the portions are huge. The owners are so friendly, nice and honest. When we ordered the food, the owner even worried that we ordered too much, we would not be able to finish all of them. We said it was ok, we could do take away for leftover. In the end we didn't finish even half of the meal so we took it home and have them for dinner the next day and were still full to the brim. We are so impressed with this business and hope that they will do better and better in the future. Unfortunately we are only in Armidale for the Easter holiday and will be back in Brisbane soon. Otherwise we would love to dine there every week just to try out everything...

Best massaman curry I have had outside of Thailand, and that includes Sydney, Brisbane etc. Amazing flavour, tender beef. Also excellent Thai style bbq pork and the pad khee mao was served Thai spicy, as requested. Serving sizes are massive compared with Sydney Thai restaurants, and the prices are low.
