I love Garvey Park so this review is not for the park itself but for the City Of Belmont. I was at Garvey Park on Saturday and unfortunately I seen sum used condoms and syringes, where I usually park up under the tree so on Monday morning I called the City Of Belmont to report this as there are many kids that play in this park but I did not think the council was taken this seriously but they said they were looking into it I went back to the park on Wednesday afternoon and the used condoms and syringes were still there so I called the City Of Belmont back again and I felt that I got the same reply that they weren't really interested but I did get a call back by a very rude Ranger so I went back there again today Friday and the use condoms and syringes were still there so I called the council back again and once again they treated it like a joke I don't think this council cares about safety if they did they would have cleaned this up as soon as possible the two photos that are attached were taken on the Wednesday and today Friday please contact the city of Belmont and pressure them to keep our parks clean. All in, a great place to chill, be it on a warm summer evening or an autumnal early evening feast...

There are nice tables and some BBQs along with water points and toilets. There is access to the river if you want to swim or kayak as well as a children's play ground.
We bought our own lunch, there were no annoying insects but there were a couple of ducks begging for food. Highly recommend if you live in the area and worth a drive if you...
