I love Garvey Park so this review is not for the park itself but for the City Of Belmont. I was at Garvey Park on Saturday and unfortunately I seen sum used condoms and syringes, where I usually park up under the tree so on Monday morning I called the City Of Belmont to report this as there are many kids that play in this park but I did not think the council was taken this seriously but they said they were looking into it I went back to the park on Wednesday afternoon and the used condoms and syringes were still there so I called the City Of Belmont back again and I felt that I got the same reply that they weren't really interested but I did get a call back by a very rude Ranger so I went back there again today Friday and the use condoms and syringes were still there so I called the council back again and once again they treated it like a joke I don't think this council cares about safety if they did they would have cleaned this up as soon as possible the two photos that are attached were taken on the Wednesday and today Friday please contact the city of Belmont and pressure them to keep our parks clean. City Of Belmont keeping our streets and parks clean is the main job for a council...

Garvey Park is a favourite spot of ours for walking, cycling, enjoying great times with friends and family and letting the dogs have a run around til they drop. There’s very easy access to the river or the cycle path, for those who wish to burn some calories or see the sights our wonderful Swan River has to offer. It’s also a great spot for those with a young family as there is easy access to the play ground and plenty of bbq facilities. A new cafe has taken up residence in the park, serving early morning coffees, breakfasts, lunches and a good time just to be in the moment and reflection all that is good with the place we call home. All in, a great place to chill, be it on a warm summer evening or an autumnal early evening feast...

We had lunch here today, it is a very nice park, I would have preferred to give I 4.5 stars, it's a bit basic, but then again, it is a neighborhood park and it is on the riverbank into the swan river.

We bought lunch with us, there is a kiosk there where you can get food and drinks, not licensed so you will have to bring your own booze. There are nice tables and some BBQs along with water points and toilets. There is access to the river if you want to swim or kayak as well as a children's play ground.

We bought our own lunch, there were no annoying insects but there were a couple of ducks begging for food. Highly recommend if you live in the area and worth a drive if you...

Garvey Park is a lovely, quiet spot tucked away in Ascot, right along the Swan River. As someone who lives by the sea in the UK, looking out over this wide stretch of water felt incredibly tranquil – a different kind of calm, but just as soothing. The park has open grassy areas, shaded spots, and walking paths that wind along the river and through peaceful wetlands. You’ll often see locals out with dogs, kids playing, or someone quietly fishing. A small café added to the charm, though it closed surprisingly early at 1pm today – not sure why that was, but a shame all the same. Still, it’s a great place to sit, breathe, and just enjoy the stillness of the water.
