We won't be back. Were there on Saturday and did a tasting with Nathan who was exceptional however, whilst we were doing our tasting the lady doing a tasting at the other end of the tasting bar (Diana?) was talking to her group about preservatives and how Ballandean Estate use very minimal not like other wineries that transport their grapes offsite - she even went as low as naming the winery much to our disgust ... We come out every year and every year (up until now) we visit Ballandean Estate - putting a few dollars over the counter however, will never step foot onsite again.

Read moreVisited this Winery in April 2022, where we were greeted with friendliness and enthusiasm to try their wines .. my excitement to experience new varieties and be educated and informed about this particular Wineryâs delightful selection soon changed to disappointment and complete amazement as to how I was ignored and dismissed. It took me a while to realise that my taste in wine wasnât recognised as relevant or as important as my partners choices⊠who seemed to be more in line with what the Wineryâs host. By this time I was so disgusted with our Hosts blatant one eyed opinion even though I really enjoyed at least 3 of the splashes Iâd been given to try .. I refused to buy anything .. but then .. my opinion didnât matter so from her point of view I guess ⊠no loss .. consequently the next 3 wineryâs we visited that day were welcoming and non judgemental and .. yes we purchased many bottles of delicious Stanthorpe wine or...
Read moreWe visited the barrel room on Monday for lunch. What a disappointment. The couple who arrived before us & ordered maybe five minutes before us had eaten there entreeâs & mains while we waited &waited & waited Thirty minutes later I called a waiter over & asked where our meals were. It took another ten minutes & we were so disappointed with the food. On leaving I told the girl at the register of our disappointment with customer service & food to which her reply was a shrug of the shoulders &Iâll let the cook know. No offer of a discount or Iâm sorry your meal was not up to standard âŠ.. I expect better from the restaurant in regards to service & food quality. Wonât return will spend our hard earnt money elsewhere
