Ballarat Winter Festival Ice Rink — Attraction in Ballarat Central

I was at Ballarat ice ring with my kids. On the 16/7/22 3pm with 2 kids as well as 9pm with my other 3 kids . Not only was the ice ring definitely not maintained on both occasions, there was rubbish on the ice ring at the 3pm. Also tonight I noticed you had a security guard working which was good if he done his job. There was 3-4 vaping on the ice ring and also them same people doing on the seats next to the ice ring. Small rink but the kids had heaps of fun and pretty good value for a family. Only thing was that the shoe guide was 2 sizes out for all of us (so jnr 9 needed 11, SNR 2 needed 4 etc) so I wouldn't trust their conversation chart (this could be because the boots are old and hard to put on). This process of trying many boots unfortunately took up 20 min of our 60 min session but once on the ice it was great. Lots of penguins to help littles...

Disappointed. We pre-booked tickets but still had to wait in a line for 20 minutes. Check in to get skates was chaos, with not enough staff and no clear instructions for patrons.
