The South East Centre for Contemporary Arts (SECCA) is finally finished and open to the public. We visited last year when it was still an unfinished building project. Today we were treated to a tour by Director Iain Dawson through the completed galleries, currently showing the most recent Archibald Prize exhibition. Even if you visited the exhibition in Sydney this attractive space and Iain’s thoughtful hang brings different works to the forefront. Claudia Chan Shaw looks out imperiously from one alcove, and soft light from the gallery windows makes Noni Hazelhurst peering through window all the more moving.
