If you ever find yourself in Bega, NSW, Osteria Da Franco is a charming little spot that shouldn’t be missed. With its cozy, Italian-inspired decor and warm, welcoming ambiance, it’s a delightful escape for locals and visitors alike. The coffee here is outstanding—its cafe blend is smooth, balanced, and deeply satisfying, offering a comforting start to your day or a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. The staff are attentive, friendly, and make you feel right at home, adding to the already pleasant experience. One of the true stars of Osteria Da Franco’s menu has to be their flavored croissants. These buttery, flaky delights come with a creative twist—each one bursting with unique and decadent flavors that elevates the humble croissant to a new level of indulgence. It’s no surprise this cafe is a favorite among the locals. The atmosphere, quality, and service combine to make it a must-visit for anyone craving great coffee and delicious baked goods with a touch of Italian charm. Next time you’re in Bega, treat yourself to this little gem. You’ll leave with a happy heart—and possibly a bag of those croissants to go! Oh and for the motorcyclists amongst us, a great little bench for the helmets sits outside the cafe, unintentional I'm sure.

Passing through Bega, we had to try this due to its Google rating. The guy making coffees had good chat but the girl serving was lacking personality or a clue about the menu and/or the business. The $15 panini were way overpriced and quite average. It’s not hard to make top notch panini. Coffee was very good, probably due to old mate. The chocolate filled croissants were kinda dull too. Sorry to be so negative but for $50+ for a basic lunch, we’d normally expect a bit more.

Popped in for a late lunch. Friendly welcome and info about what was available. Chose the focaccia with spicy salami, veggies and cheese and a coffee. Coffee was fantastic - hot as I requested, great flavour and smoooooth😎 The focaccia was delicious and really hit the spot. Super hot, beautifully melty cheeses and lovely flavours. Great place for lunch - late or otherwise! Will definitely go again next time in in Bega 🤩

We went here two days in a row, so that is saying something.

Coffee was good. Despite the babychinos not having marshmallows, my kids were still very happy and enjoyed the generous chocolate powder on top, as well as the decent size of the babychinos.

My kids enjoyed the ham and cheese croissants while the adults were impressed with the variety of toasted focaccia sandwiches.

The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. It was clear this place is popular with the locals, as many came and went both mornings to get their morning caffeine and brekky...

What a sensational find! Happened upon Osteria Da Franco during our road trip down the East coast of NSW and were blown away by this little gem in Bega. Superbly made coffee from the delightful owner/barista is just the start - Instead of a big range, you'll be treated to a small selection of the best house-made sweet and savoury pastries for a good country mile (or hundred!). We also bought a bag of croissants for later in the day but ate them before we reached the saleyards on the edge of...
