This is such a clever and striking piece of art, I’m surprised we don’t see similar ones in other places. Found in Geraldton’s lovely oceanside park, this massive glass ball reveals a fascinating upside-down view of the living seascape behind it. It is in the center of an elevated walled enclosure, which raises it to eye level and protects it from harm. The view through the ball is particularly beautiful at sunset, when throngs of people come to peer through it and, unfortunately, take their inevitable selfies.

Picnic tables nearby offer a perfect spot to eat takeout fish and chips as the sun is falling into the sea. Within a handful of minutes, the crowds at the ball disperse and you can enjoy its exquisite...

It's pretty cool. Its location is nice and clean and I would recommend everybody comes to have a look.

There isn't a whole lot to say about it. It is a sphere with 1800 L of water and it inverts the image on the other side from what you would normally see.

This can make for some photo and video ideas and it's definitely worth stopping by as it's all free and it's just an art piece open to the public situated on the foreshore.

The Big Marble in Geraldton offers a charming seaside experience, nestled near the beautiful coastline. Despite its modest size, the sculpture exudes a sense of whimsy and local pride, making it a delightful spot for visitors to enjoy the ocean breeze and snap some memorable photos. Whether you're strolling along the shore or exploring the nearby attractions, the Big Marble adds a touch of character to Geraldton's...

1st of its kind! We managed to catch it during sunset, and it was so mesmerising to watch. The ball is located near the beach and is about 20 to 25 minutes walk from where we stay (Winterson Hotel). If you want to arrive faster, then rent an e-scooter to cut down the time to about 10 minutes. Do try to be early during sunset, as there is likely a crowd with phones and cameras ready, waiting for sunset
