Ok firstly this resort is run by two companies, Broadwater and Nesuto. Nesuto were $100 per night cheaper for a two bed apartment and for me $50 per night cheaper for a premier studio via Expedia, So I've just been ripped off..!! if you have to stay here DO NOT stay in a ground floor studio. Broadwater managed mine and Nesuto managed the apartment above me. The entrance to upstairs is via a common entry point with exceptionally load doors, so every time upstairs goes in and out the heavy doors slam (twice) and I mean SLAM..!! All you can hear when someone's upstairs is thump thump thump and the sound of chairs dragging across their tiled floors. It is horrendous.... $200 per night for hell...!! total rip off.. ||||I did complain to the management who were very helpful and did offer to move me to a single story studio but it was a basic room and Id already paid for the premium. Maybe if they'd offered my a refund of the difference Id have moved. As the upstairs apartment was managed by Nesuto they couldn't really do much.. ||||The room itself was ok, for a premium studio there was no way of cooking anything. Small kitchen that served almost no purpose, A small electric hotplate would have been useful. $200 pn and you still have to go out for dinner. The complimentary WIFI was not high speed. 4,5mbsp which was ok but not if your trying to steam high quality TV or you have kids on their devices. Room wasn't serviced, Ran out of complimentary coffee and shampoo. ||||The resort is nice, there's no doubt about it, the pools fantastic only solar heated so still a bit cold, probably wouldn't be able to swim in the winter, the spa wasn't heated, apparently it broke but it should be fixed immediately. The BBQs are nice and clean, when I went though the utensils were all dirty with no clean ones to use. The location is good, Probably a 20 - 30 mins stroll into town. But we had a push bike and electric scooter so it was good fun along the ocean walk.||||From our point of view we would never stay here again, but if we did we would book through Nesuto. At least compare the two. I dont really feel comfortable having two companies managing the...
Read moreWe had one night at this resort which was a Saturday in the school hols. It was busy and noisy around the pool until 9pm, with lots of kids running around. Groups of people kept coming and going right outside our bedroom until 2am. The apartments do not have double glazed windows, so noise was a real issue. There is a small foyer that serves 4 apartments, so each time someone comes and goes, the heavy doors bang loudly. Worse still, our bedroom had a power transformer in the wall and it buzzed loudly all night. There was also a constant knocking inside the wall which may have been a water pipe. Our room was a corner room so perhaps this exacerbated the noise levels but if we were going to stay here for a second night, we would have asked for a different room. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was nicely appointed. They are very clean but I agree with many other reviews about the shower being in the bath which could be dangerous particularly if you have older family members with you. This resort would be good if you wanted to stay with several families together and didn't mind the evening revelry but for us, it was way too noisy. It is very secure with an electronic gate but perhaps the rooms on the perimeter away from the pool would be a more quiet option for those who need to get sleep. The staff were helpful. It's across the road from the beach at the nicer end of town but a good 10 minute drive to get into the centre of Geraldton. The price was rather expensive for what you get and we definitely wouldn't stay here again because of the large amount of human traffic. However, the large family groups staying here seems to be having a great...
Read moreThe Broadwater is better than Lattitude, the food is nice seems expensive but the portions are larger however the cocktail menu is a little confusing, all of them are worth $18 yet some have 1shot and others 6shots, we decided to order the ones with 6 deciding it must mean they were 15mls each, but they are full shots. I only wanted one drink, but I was drunk after one and ended up partying all night and my neighbours complained because it was Tuesday. Good value haha. But wish it was made properly, some training would go well for that. And maybe some more staff so things are served a little quicker....
