We walked the first day of the grand cliff top walk from Wentworth Falls to Leura, Gordon Falls. It was pleasant, many lookouts and some detours for waterfalls and other bodies of water. We passed Empress Falls, which was nice, and also stopped at the Pool of Siloam. The 11km we covered had some difficult parts but was overall easy enough - there were quite a few stairs though - so would not recommend for anyone who’s not moderately fit. We went as a family, and the youngest who was 8 struggled a bit and lacked motivation at around the 8km mark. At that point there was a bit which took us onto the road. It was difficult to navigate and signage was not good either, so we were unhappy with that part - there wasn’t even a proper path to follow. We had to use the map from AllTrails to properly follow the track and it was rather shoddy. It took us around 5-6 hours including lunch, no convenient toilets either. At the end we were very tired. As we did not want to do the two day walk, we parked at a part of the track at Leura Oval, walked to Leura station and caught the train to Wentworth, where we started the walk. Overall,...

Started from Fairfax Heritage Track (very flat and easy) to steeper Govetts Leap (apparently leap is Scottish for waterfall) lookout and on to CliffTop Walk until Evan’s Lookout. Fantastic seeing ?Waratahs out in October, tall and a beautiful coral red. The walk is well maintained and in brilliant condition. Good places to stop and picnic. Steep in places but steps help, and it’s not too onerous. Marvellous views over the pulpit and Grose Valley gorge that was under water thousands of years ago. Eucalyptus (scribbly bark variety), banksia and grevillea lining the paths. Fabulous walk, spectacular views and good exercise for a few hours (3 hours return although longer with breaks). Not many people walking but very...

Reviewing between wentworthfalls and gordonfalls. Day 1 track. Fit person can do easily in 3 hours. Easy 5 min walk from wentworth falls station. Bits and pieces of track has good views. Good waterfalls on the path and adjacent tracks. Just found couple of benches all the way in between to grab lunch. Sighted owl near pool of siloam. Had to take a detour in 30 mins from wentworthfalls all the way to wentworth falls carpark area. Additional 1.5km walking on pedestrian road. Uneasy was the way out from gordon falls to leaura station. Not much options to complete...

Cliff top walking tracks, particularly are known for their magnificent views of canyons, valleys, and waterfalls but are often challenging due to numerous stairs, requiring good fitness and proper footwear. Reviewers recommend starting early to avoid parking issues and crowds, bringing plenty of water, and being aware of varying track conditions, including some road sections. Hikers can link different tracks to create custom-length journeys, with iconic signage to guide the way.
