The new air pillow is a fantastic addition to this already well equipped park. The flying fox is still popular and playgrounds for both the younger kids and tweens in good repair. The water run was still in use for leaf races during our Brisbane winter and a wheelchair swing is available. The net hammock swing was out of action recently but rolled ip with caution tape which tells me that it has been noted and awaiting repair. Large grass areas are great for ball sports, tram sports or kite flying and the multiple tracks are popular with joggers, scooters, bikes and walkers. The community garden provides a point of interest and good ideas for possum proofing your home garden with the simple yet effective net domes created. I must investigate the compost options here too as my home bin has slowed down with the coolness of winter. A great way to spend many hours. Bring a picnic or your BBQ items, I have also seen a coffee van and Icecream van visit during popular...

The organisers of the Sri Lanka Festival were rewarded with one of the warmest, brightest days of this season. If there were any bumps on the proceedings, no one noticed. Rocks Riverside Park seems now to be the venue of choice and it certainly delivered - room for a large gathering, good toilets, an adequate stage and shade trees. 9 - 4 is not a short time and thanks need to go also to the formal guests and speakers, the performers, and those who kept on and on providing food for the huge crowds. A whole range of delicious spicy food, sweets of all descriptions and drinks to remind you of Sri Lankan street food. Lastly, the crowd. Such a friendly atmosphere is impossible to arrange without friendly people and the atmosphere was warm and amiable. Looking forward to next...

An absolutely amazing park for kids, play ball, run around, have get togethers, picnics etc.

It has multiple play areas. One for the toddlers is fully fenced and has a sand pit as well. For older kids, there is a large web for climbing enthusiastics, a flying fox, and another structure which has a lot of things going on which is perfect for playing tag or hide and seek.

This park is quite large, has multiple car parks on the one way loop road around the park.

Lots of grassed area. And a wonderful path for cyclists, scooters, skateboarders, and just for a stroll.

There is also a Riverside walking path in this park which also has a few industrial artefacts on display. Before the park, the area used to have a Cement factory.

All in all, highly recommend a visit...

One of the best parks in Brisbane. Playground-wise, it caters for bubs in an enclosed area, then another play area for the older kids (more like a giant fort!). Most of the year, winter aside, there is a winding water fun area, a larger 'pond' and an interactive water play feature. There's a little dirt trail too for young bike riders! Two giant flat green areas can hold lots of family games, and then around the park there are approx 10 different gazebo/rotunda/shelters for BBQs and picnics. Upgraded toilets in the middle near the water play area, but also some near the jetty bit at the far end! Parking can be painful on the weekends, but it's easy to walk to through nature reserves if you park further away.

I don't know if I was simply lucky to come here on a warm winter's day or if it's always this way, but I was left in awe at how beautiful this place is! It's Brisbane's largest riverside park, on the site of an old cement making plant. In fact, the remnants of the plant's machinery is part of the area's uniqueness and you can read interesting information about it on the signage. Come here with your family and kids and you'll love it! There are so many rides in the playgrounds and there's even a water attraction. Finally, you can take a nice pleasant stroll along the river and even make your way into some of the other surrounding parks.
