Extremely disappointed. I spent $400 on this abomination. It was specially ordered for my son's 18th birthday and was to look like a Holden VY Commodore. I sent pictures of his car and Huong told me they would make it resemble my son's car in design. Huong also told me they would put the Holden logo on it and his name on the number plate. I had to pay in advance and ordered it a week ahead giving them time to produce something of quality. I wouldn't normally spend this kind of money on a cake but it was for a special occasion and thought it would be a nice touch to my son's birthday and something he will remember forever. It will be remembered but for all the wrong reasons. Well you could imagine the reaction when we collected the cake both my husband and I were horrified however didn't realize the extent of how terrible it was until we got home. They tried to cover this disgrace up with big boxes and hurry us out of the shop. It was embarrassing to say the least and quite upsetting when we found out what we got. The reaction from our family and friends were of disgust and horror and when I explained what I ordered and amount I paid for such poor quality they all asked the business that was responsible. If they were unable to create what I paid for then they should have had common decency to let me know prior to paying. I wouldn't recommend using this business and would avoid...
Read moreI recently visited King of Cakes in Brisbane, Australia and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of their baked goods. From the moment I walked into the store, I was greeted with the delicious scent of fresh bread and pastries.
The selection of cakes, pastries, and breads was extensive, and it was hard to decide what to try first. I ended up selecting a croissant, a danish, and a slice of their famous carrot cake.
The croissant was flaky and buttery, with just the right amount of sweetness. The danish was filled with a deliciously tangy raspberry jam and the pastry itself was light and airy. But the real standout was the carrot cake. It was moist, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. The cream cheese frosting was the perfect complement to the cake.
The staff at King of Cakes were also friendly and welcoming, and happy to answer any questions I had about their products.
Overall, I highly recommend King of Cakes to anyone looking for high-quality baked goods in Brisbane. The selection is extensive, the quality is top-notch, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning for more delicious treats...
Read moreWish I read the reviews before ordering. I ordered a red velvet cake for a friends birthday. When the lady first opened the box to show me it looked great. By the time I drove 10 minutes up the road it was leaking a red liquid. We cut into it and the cake looked really good. The cake did not have a good flavour. We all looked at each other after trying it as it had a really unique odd taste. It tasted like a chocolate orange flavour and did not taste anything like a red velvet. It was extremely disappointing as it my friends favourite flavour cake and I could not find anywhere to get one so once we found this place I was really excited. The actual business itself was really hard to find. It was very cluttered, not clean and uninviting. Definitely wonât be coming back here. Still on the search for a good...
