Great gallery with lots of original large artworks and a stunning collection of opals. The gallery is open March through December from Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm. The cost is $4 per adult and children under 16 are free, which is extremely reasonable. The room is large with artworks on all 4 walls and the opal collection is in the centre. There are some artworks and opals for sale. You can buy postcards for $1.50, placemats for $10 etc. There are some original artworks for sale too. I would recommend visiting. The landscapes are stunningly beautiful and you will be breathtaken when you walk in.

If you are in Broken Hill, it's a must you want to see. The paintings are amazing especially the large ones of Coober Pedy and Mundi Mundy. Any photo would not represent the quality done by Absalom .

To this amateur's eye, Jack's strengths are his colour coordination, rugged and beautiful outback scenes, night paintings of trappers and other bush workers in their camps, an eye for detail, the detailed miniature figures of bush labourers, stock and wildlife against the vast backdrop of the Australian outback. Jack also has an interesting opals collection with most pieces for sale from ear studs for $50 to a magnificent opal pendant for $30,000. The garden in front of Jack's studio is one of the prettiest in...

We were unable to see the gallery because we didn’t have masks. While I appreciate the gallery is a privately owned space and therefore the owners make the rules, if masks are required perhaps in the spirit of sharing the art then masks should be available for those of us who are not wearing masks normally unless of course associating with those who are health compromised. Unfortunately the gate warden was rude, speaking to us through a half closed door and we won’t return nor can we recommend the gallery....
