Food was great, I had mushroom pie, hot and lovely, son had bacon and cheese. Stuffed up on wife’s order, but shop was extremely busy and the lady that served us may have been new. A steady stream of locals came in the entire time we sat and ate our pies. That shows how good the Tucker is. Well recommended.

This bakery is well worth a visit, a great selection of pies and cakes, I had the ring of fire pie, what a cracking idea, crunchy, tasty and not tooo hot.

Loved the vanilla slice and Bruce showed us around the history of the place. After showing me the espresso machine, I got a latte as well.

McLeod's is a very traditional old-style bakery - it feels very comfortable to be there. The bakery building is not situated in the main shopping area so it is not part of the tourist drag. The owner was easy to talk with and we exchanged quite a few stories. I enjoy more unusual foods so it was great to find a steak and kidney pie that tasted good like it should. Unfortunately I believe the owner is intending to retire in the not to far future - the future of the bakery yet...

On our travels we often stop in at bakeries so we have eaten at many. I don't understand the high rating for this bakery. My sausage roll seemed like a mass produced (not baked on site) sausage roll which was wrapped in plastic, had too much thick, soggy pastry & very little sausage. It tasted weird so I let hubby have the rest but he found it to be rather disgusting. His choice was a pie (pizza pie from memory) and found that to be well below par too. Can't really recommend this...

My Family are born & bred in Broken Hill (Smith's) & me & my family have been going to this bakery for more than way, way, way over +30 decades. They make the most nicest cakes, pies pasties etc & are the best cakes, pies, pasties I've had in the whole 42 years I've been alive. Bells (Ice-cream Parlour) in Broken Hill is definitely another place to visit for the best ice-cream, sundaes, smoothies, thick shakes etc around & the place looks retro, like back in the...
