Stunning spot at any time of day! Absolutely loved the Town Beach Jetty in Broome — it’s one of those places that truly captures the magic of the Kimberley coast. Whether you're there for a peaceful sunrise, a midday stroll with ocean views, or to catch the sunset with a cool breeze, it never disappoints. The jetty itself is really well-maintained, with a solid structure and wide walkways, making it perfect for families, fishing enthusiasts, or anyone just wanting to soak in the view. The turquoise water is incredible, especially when the tides are shifting — it’s like watching nature breathe. There’s also a great mix of locals and travellers, always a friendly vibe. Easy access from the park and Town Beach area, plus BBQs, shaded spots, and even the iconic mangrove views make it a must-visit. Can’t recommend it enough — if you’re in Broome, don’t miss a walk down the jetty. Bring your camera, bring your mates, and enjoy the simple beauty of this awesome place

One of the newest jetty developments, fishing is common practice since the upper part extends far out and the lower ramp allows for easy access into the ocean. High tides reach the rocks and low tides won’t see much other than mangroves and expansive mud-scapes. Despite the name, no crocks were seen on the day I was there (that doesn’t mean jump in any time you want). I saw a few backpackers during dusk and night making a bit of noise. (Edit adding photos)

This is really a beautiful place to walk, especially at sunset and sunrise. It offers wonderful views over the Indian Ocean and back to the Town Beach with its historic cemetery and also over the mud flats. Additionally, it is of historic and cultural significance for local Aboriginal people and is linked to Broome’s pearling past. It is a gateway to heritage sites such as the Catalina Flying Boats Wrecks.
