I've lived here for 20 years and this is only the second time here. Had a Fab morning with friends and even got caught in the rain. I'll be back and it won't take me another 20. So many birds, wildlife, flowers to see and just to enjoy the sounds of nature around you. There are covered tables and chairs to enjoy a bite to eat. Read moreGreat place for a walk amongst patches of woodland with tracks around a series of freshwater wetlands. Paths are easy to manage even with kids. There are picnic tables, a large children's playground and a shelter shed with toilets within the park.
The habitat attracts numerous waterfowl and provides a green haven conveniently close to town. Sometimes the floating water weed Salvinia chokes the pond but currently this seems under control.
