This is SUCH a beautiful place. It's well worth a visit if you haven't already. Its a great getaway from the 'rat race' sort of place. By this I mean that its a wonderful place to escape from the running and rushing around, with a relaxed and laid back pace. Be aware that some area's (depending on your phone and your ISP provider) have generally low mobile signal and internet connectivity. For many though this will be just fine in our pursuit of peace and quiet.
There are multiple Bunya rain forest walking tracks, of varying lengths and requiring different levels of fitness and hiking skills. They are all well sign posted though and the signs also recommend how much time you should allow for each track. The cafe s have a good range of different meals and there's a souvenirs shop should you have the need for that unusual gift. Have only been here two times and have always enjoyed the chirping of the birds. This would definitely be the place to have a quite holiday and enjoy your time among nature's best. The wife and I have returned to the Bunya Mountains to stay and celebrate our 49 wedding anniversary, we just love the peace and quiet of the region especially to be able to enjoy and watch the birds, they have a great time coming to you to be fed but only feed them with the bird food you purchase...
