Got one of their steak and mushroom pies, fairly oily, decent consistency on the pastry but the taste wasn't as grand as my last visit a few years back. The filling is quite standard on flavours, textures and the overall taste.

Its good for a well organised Local bakery but I can honestly say Mrs Mac's Beef Pies alone would give this visits steak and mushroom pie some major competition.

They are reasonably priced at the bakery, I just wasn't reminiscing over the past great experiences that they had given.

Give them a go, the bakery has definitely surpassed expectations and deeply impressed me before just not this time, so it might just be a luck of the draw. I'd recommend supporting local, and perhaps their other...

Called in for brunch today on friends recommendations...Bill's first choice unavailable so he opted for the potato and meat pie . NOT freshly baked was stale and stodgy, he said it was old enough to vote !!!That had been my first choice too but fortunately only 1 available!! I opted for a meat and veg pastie instead. Freshly baked but very dry inside. Bill had a flat white I had an English breakfast tea. I don't think my tea had more than a passing whiff q qt lof a teabag. I asked for milk and it was steamed and added to the cup. I ended up with a very hot. white, frothy, sweet drink ! Definitely wouldn't recommend from our...

We are big pie fans in our household but I'm sorry but the pies we bought for a late arvo snack were not good at all. Our 6 and 4 year old boys who demolish pies only got partway through their plain beef before giving up. I shared a beef and potato and a beef cheese and bacon with my wife and they were both far from edible. The bacon tasted really porky and the beef mince was no good. I also bought 2 serves of chips and they were just weird, the only thing we could come up with to describe them was that maybe they had fried prawn crackers in the oil before cooking the chips. Do...

Being honest, I like to support local bakery however as we read the review about this bakery as we on the way to Kalbari I marked this a bakery a must to stop.. so we stopped and bought 3 vanilla sliced that been recommended by the review, my verdict is nothing special..pastry not nice at all no buttery flaky taste and the custard so thick and no taste, the only nice is the pink icing..and the pie pastry nothing special not flaky pastry tho.. so for me is a failure and I will not recommend to try...

Nice little bakery with efficient and friendly service. We stopped on our way back to Perth for a butter chicken pie and coffee chill. There are a few tables to sit inside, or you could sit in a nearby park as there are a few around. Don't forget to take a pic of the giant lobster while you're in town, it's pretty impressive (better than the giant banana in Carnarvon, and on par with the giant prawn in Exmouth). Also picked up some WA raw honey while I was here at a very reasonable price.
