North Durras Beach — Attraction in Durras North

Get up the north end for protected beach swimming with no rips!!

I do the walk from North Durras each day, have a few swims, enjoy the Sun, surf and sand.

You will definitely be able to spread a super sized towel out and still not have beach neighbours!!

For those driving, there is plenty of car parks on North Durras road and a pretty cool and well defined walk down the hill to the beach. Shoalhaven council has recently upgraded the walk with sand stone blocks, proper steps and the a clear and easy walking path 👍

Only minor flaw is that there is no change...

North Durras Beach is fantastic. Be mindful, though, that it is an unpatrolled beach (no lifeguards) and at the end of a tight and windy road in a national park. Having said that, the beach is a delight, and if you know how to read the waves and currents, you will be able to find a safe spot to swim.

The recent 'upgrade' to the path has made the steps down even more slippery and treacherous that before. NSW national parks need to fix that.
