Eaglehawk Open Space Precinct — Attraction in Eaglehawk

My local park is great for walking your dog, a short walk, a brisk walk, a bike ride, childrens first bike ride. The park is impressive with a child play water pump, cubby house, enough play equipment to go around. Also close to toilet facilities and a bbq near the gardens. Over therw is nice for a picnic, there's a cenral water fountain. Also a skate park with the bowels and oval facilities accessed from the side of Eaglehawk North. Its right next to the Eaglehawk public pools. If you take your kids don't forget to keep an eye out for #BendigoRocks. They have a Facebook page. And if its not enough walk for you you can cross the road to discover lake Tom Thumb. Please don't feed the ducks bread. I buy frozen peas and corn and plain uncooked oats. A wonderful park with plenty of flowers, trees and not too big that you'd get lost. Everytime I've been here it's been meticulously kept clean and nice. I'd recommend the walk around Lake Neangar and be sure to look out for turtles in the water. Crossing the road to walk around Lake Tom Thumb is also recommended as you'll see...

Great time had by all as we attended the Dahlia and arts festival at Eaglehawk.....the parade was fantastic the costumes are lovely with all sorts of floats to keep you interested. Well worth a visit when festival is on.....after the parade is over you can walk around park and look at all the different stalls great day...
