Camp Hotel — Restaurant in Victoria

Rang and booked a table for a family dinner of 10 @ 6:30pm (early dinner, because of young kids) I advised them at booking that 2 of the table guests wouldn’t be arriving until 7-7:30pm (they didn’t finish work until late). I queried about them ordering their meals at a later time, and I was told this would be fine. Nope. They arrived at 7:20pm and were told the kitchen is closed, the chef is too busy. We explained the situation, nope. No apologies or nothing. Just told “you’re welcome to order drinks at the bar”. Their seats in the bistro were pre-booked a week in advance, they arrived at the time I advised them they would, and they get turned away. Why let us book a table for 10 in the bistro if you can only...

The bistro here does the best meals!! Far too big, but super tasty, the chef/cook deserves a huge pat on the back as week after week, the meals are amazing!

Its nice and roomy if you want to have a large group for a meal too.

The only let down is disabled facilities, whilst there is a ramp to get into the bistro, there are no disabled toilet facilities (if there is, there are no signs to direct people).

With respect to the bar, there are always people there, but I think that the staff forget about people coming up from the bistro wanting to order drinks and sometimes your left waiting there for a long time before another patron points to you to be served.

Definitely really good meals at a good price. Everyone, 8 out of 8 diners, were happy with their meal! Was super happy with the service although, as I have dietary needs I had asked for a children’s serve which they were unwilling to do. This will possibly deter me going back in the future, or if I do, I will not be buying myself a meal. Definitely worth 5 stars for the food though!
