A beautiful spot to enjoy a nice nature walk or picnic. Has all the facilities you need - benches, bins, very clean public toilets and a gorgeous view. Dogs welcome too so long as they are on a leash. My two dogs had a great time exploring the reserve and finding all the sniffs :) Mungabareena is such a peaceful place - the only sounds when we were there were the tweeting of birds and the gurgling of the river. The access situation is a bit confusing as the entry sign says no cars but there's a bitumen road that goes all around the space and no clear spot to park your car outside the entrance. There were about 8 cars scattered about so I don't know if I was meant to park inside the space or not. I wouldn't take tiny children who toddle fast as there are lots of river eges/drops where they could slip...
