Alison Lester Gallery — Attraction in Fish Creek

We came across Alison Lester’s gallery and store by chance while driving through the quaint little town of Fish Creek on our way to Yanakie. Wow 🤩 what a treat for the eyes. The store is filled with her books and fabulous artwork and I loved her studio and learning about her. I read her books to my children when they were young, which was many years ago. Visiting the store brought back very special memories of reading with my children and losing ourselves in her wonderful stories and illustrations. The Alison Lester Gallery is wonderful. Our children were brought up with Alison Lester books - they are adults now and their books are still treasured. We loved seeing the full range of Alison's work and we loved being able to buy a special gift for our soon to arrive granddaughter. I love this place! I'm on vacation in Australia and came across a book by Aliston on my journey—it instantly gave me that special Australian feeling. Now, visiting the gallery, I felt it again.
