Celiac Folk this cafe has you covered!! On arrival was greeted by such friendly staff!! I knew we were in the right place when the display at entrance with a showcase of House Made Gluten free cakes and Slices , we then showed were taken to our seats on the lovely decking overlooking the Fish Creek intersection (a birds eye view of the town)!! Things just got even better as a celiac you always have to ask well these guys no gluten free well! Most menu items are available gluten free and I was speechless , never had I had so many options , the anticipation of ordering and waiting for the food to arrive was like being a kid in a Lilly shop, Upon ordering my Avo Smash made with local produce I realised there was hash browns I asked with the reluctant waiting for the usual “sorry not gluten free” well to my surprise they had gluten free ones 🙏🙏 , So with the anticipation of being overwhelmed with choices I ordered as mentioned the “Avo Smash “ , the presentation was incredible intact Insta worthy !! While I was in food heaven my non celiac family members ordered there food and they couldn’t believe the serving size and quality, our 10 year old got a Cuban Turkish Roll who is the most of fussy eaters as been brought up by discern foodies he gave it a 11/10! The smoothie was COLD and made with love not like water!!! The coffee while speaking to staff is roasted by there family friend and is worth the drive even for a coffee !! I think there friend must be a true roaster with flavours of dark chocolate with hints of toffee and dark plum tones , no bitter notes and not to smooth where all you can taste is milk , I will be hoping on our return we can purchase a bag of coffee for the home machine! This is one restaurant/cafe we are lucky To have in Gippsland while on the way to the prom or if you live locally be sure to drop in and check this place out! The have a liquor license as well we noticed and some quality gin locally made I will be sure to try as made with different flavour profiles . Thanks guys for such a delightful brunch and if your a celiac you won’t know yourself! The chefs are incredible and understanding!! Also for the non celiac folks the food is of a Melbourne standard in a little Gippsland township of Fish Creek , gateway to the prom as they say ! Thanks Long John for a great brunch and overall a great dining experience, will be back again next time we are on our way to the prom ❤️

We came by Long John Pickle on our little road trip to Wilson's Prom. Kiddos were tired after being on the road for a couple of hours. Had hopes that the food was as good as the reviews made it out to be. Spoiler alert: it was. My wife and the pumpkin soup and it was the best pumpkin soup she'd had in 2022, maybe even ever. The right consistency to be filling, with the pepper and spice dusting over the top, completed with that scrumptious piece of local sourdough. Too bloody good. The burger and chips and kids meals were exactly what me and the ankle biters were after too. We left nourished and happy, resuming our journey. Only thing I'm unhappy about is that it's so far from the suburbs, we'll have to swing by once we're back out that way again.

Came here for a late afternoon post ride meal & coffee. I only drink long black coffee and it’s always a hit & miss (no milk to disguise poorly made coffee) and I’m not exaggerating but the coffee here hit the ball out of the park. Sensational! Absolutely 100% the best LB I’ve had and I’ve had heaps. Ordered a smashed avocado and it was beautifully presented. My partner raved about the caramel slice from a previous visit and it was just as good the second time. Decent size & not overly sweet. Service was prompt, friendly & quick. Highly recommend.

After a hot and tiring weekend away at The Prom we were out of camping supplies and in search of some good grub to fuel the rest of our journey drive back home. In the artsy and quirky town on the Great Southern Rail Trail this café was a pleasure for us to sit in. Cosy cushions, an ant wacky vibe and even a beautiful piano. Staff welcomed us in and took our order for us straight away. We both ordered the black magic toasty which was packed full of greens, mushrooms and goats cheese. We are both vegetarian so were delighted when we saw this amongst other options on the menu! It was a treasure to find. Fizzy and soft drinks available were also so refreshing. I was really impressed with the toasty which we had served with a hot plate of chips and this delicious maybe homemade tomato salsa/relish. Thank you so much to all the staff in here who make this such a kind and generous café with well prepared yummy food! The girl who served us said bye and thanked us as we left which I also thought was super lovely. Eating here was a real treasure and a pleasure! Definitely go here if you are...

Underwhelming!! Ordered a long black - got an Americano! There is no kitchen , so they do not make fresh food here - everything is bought in so a lot of what is on the menu is 'Sold Out'! As there is no kitchen all hot food is heated in the nuke or sandwich press. You may as well go to the nearest servo road house! Because everything is pre-prepared, and the staff are clearly not allowed/trusted to slice a tomato you are locked into what is available. If your preference is for ham/cheese/tomato then bad luck, it's ham & cheese or nothing! I don't think they have a dishwasher or sink either - everything, even eat in, is served on/in disposable plates/cups which must create, literally, a ton of waste! Ordered a bacon and egg toastie with relish - the relish was sooo spicy that it totally overwhelmed the bacon and eggs. It was inedible! Seriously,...
