Carrara Market: A Thrifter's Paradise Carrara Market, nestled on the stunning Gold Coast of Australia, is a treasure trove for bargain hunters and vintage enthusiasts. With a sprawling expanse of stalls and a charming, laid-back atmosphere, this market is a must-visit for anyone in search of unique finds. One of Carrara Market's most appealing qualities is its diverse array of merchandise. From clothing to home decor, antiques to collectibles, and everything in between, you can easily spend hours exploring the numerous stalls. The emphasis on secondhand and vintage items creates an exciting sense of nostalgia and discovery. It's a place where you can stumble upon forgotten gems, like a vintage leather jacket or a quirky retro lamp. The market's atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, making it a pleasant outing for families, solo shoppers, and couples alike. The friendly stall owners are always ready for a chat, sharing stories about their wares and helping you find that special item you've been hunting for. Carrara Market is also a food lover's paradise, offering a variety of international cuisines that cater to all tastes. After a long day of thrifting, you can refuel with delicious street food or dine at one of the market's charming eateries. With reasonable prices and a haggling culture that adds to the excitement of the hunt, Carrara Market is budget-friendly. Whether you're a seasoned thrifter or just curious, this market offers a remarkable experience and the chance to uncover hidden treasures. In summary, Carrara Market is a delightful escape for those who love to thrift and discover one-of-a-kind items. Its eclectic offerings, friendly vendors, and inviting ambiance make it a standout destination for anyone seeking a unique shopping adventure. Make sure to carve out some time in your schedule for a visit to this Gold Coast gem.

How very old and run down the Carrara Markets have become over the last 20 years , actually quite sad revisiting here today ! This place was literally empty as far as visitors go 😢 This place used to be the go to market place on the coast, but clearly, more needs to be done with getting in modern vendors & creating an atmosphere to be desired . If you look at Eumundi Markets or even west end markets, you'll see them thriving on the back of home baked goods and arts & crafts. Even the selection of food stands is leaps and bounds ahead of what is on offer at Carrarra Markets . We saw vendors marketing hand-made bags from $36 , and whilst they may be hand-made, they are also available on shein for as little as $13 Also, what happened to the kids' amusement park and the petting zoo ?

Great place to bring the family or go for a walk yourself. There's everything. Toys to home remedies. Handmade dresses for you to a petting zoo for the kids. Heck. Gel blaster guns to records. See it for yourself and enjoy what suits. There's a great variety of food options. Thai food, all day breakfast places, churros and more. Highly recommend trying the dim sims from Tommy's Chinese at back of the market. DELCIOUS. There's antique stores collectors stores. You name it. You may just find it. They also have awesome art statues made from recycled wood. Spot a shark, snake and a kangaroo they are interactive, as in people/kids can climb in them for fun or photos. Recommend their fathers day car show. A hit. I'll always come back to the Carrara Markets.

Had the most unpleasant experience today that made me feel so uncomfortable. I gathered a bunch of clothing to try on (about 15 pieces) to try and fulfil $60 worth of clothes to exchange I had received for Christmas that didn't look good on and possibly buy more. The sales person stopped me from looking at any more clothes and stated I needed to start trying them on or we were going to be there longer than she was (they were closing at 2:30pm - we finished at 1pm) so I started trying the clothes on.

We then asked to try on a piece of clothing that was too high to reach and we had to ask 3 times for the sales person to get it down. We started putting all the clothes back as we went that didn't look good and we were told to stop because we were putting some in the wrong place.

I had a few items of clothing I was going to buy (spending an extra $50+ on top of the exchange) and I planned to keep looking and find more as well as explore the markets but I started to feel very uncomfortable so I decided to leave as soon as I could instead and just exchange what was already spent. It is disappointing that it got to this point as I would have liked to have had a chance to look around at what the markets...
