A refreshing departure from the everyday, Coochiemudlo Island offers an idyllic retreat into nature's arms. As you step off the quick 8-minute ferry - remarkably convenient with its eftpos payment system - the island unravels its beautiful small local beach, adorned with intricate driftwood sculptures crafted by nature itself. Despite its petite size, the island never falls short of activities. The small beaches are perfect for intimate family gatherings, offering an ample space for both relaxation and recreation. Angling enthusiasts can find their own haven here, with designated fishing spots that promise a serene experience. With the island being compact enough to explore on foot, there's hardly a need for vehicles. However, should you decide to bring your car, make sure to book in advance for a smooth journey. Picnic areas dotting the coastline ensure that visitors have a place to rest and refuel while basking in the island's stunning landscape. Make sure to pack a basket of your favorite treats! In summary, Coochiemudlo Island is a spectacular discovery, perfectly blending tranquility with adventure. A much-needed haven that promises an unforgettable experience for the entire family. Highly recommended!

A beautiful and quiet beach. A great place for a picnic away from any crowds, with several access points from the Heritage trail. Lovely mangroves on one side of the beach, although it's difficult to walk west past these, with the path being quite narrow.

So nice to see a beach not overshadowed by high rises . Not dog friendly , but there is a dog friendly area located at quite a distance further down . Saw whales , dolphins every day I walked on it . Beautiful .

This beach holds a special place in my heart, it was the place I really fell in love with my first girlfriend, but I also feel in love with this beach. Its shielded location behind trees and all makes it less windy than the rest of the island can sometimes be. Plus the views are stunning. The wildlife too, amazing. Definitely one to check out if your planning a trip to the island. Do the walk once around the island. It's what we did and it...
