Very lovely, and very quiet. Locals are all friendly. We really loved our time here and wished it could be longer. The small rocky area to the south of Norfolk Beach, while unremarkable in appearance, has a nice little ecosystem of wildlife that would be great to show children. The area to the south of the island is an off-leash dog area, but this area would better serve this! I understand that at times.of the year there are birds nesting in the area, but on the south side of the island they have restrictions in different seasons. Surely it would work here as well, as it is 950m, or so, from each other. I'm just a visitor, so I don't actually know.

A nice alternative to the Heritage trail around Coochiemudlo Island, and a nice place to put your feet in the water. Can get quite windy down this area, but a nice place to stop before going into the Melaleuca Wetlands.

A lovely spot to stop on your walk through the Melaleuca wetlands on Coochiemudlo Island. It can get a bit windy at times, but definitely worth a look.
