Zone Bowling Capalaba — Attraction in Greater Brisbane

We recently celebrated our son’s 6th birthday party here, and while the day turned out well in the end, it was quite a stressful experience at the start.

When we arrived, we were told there was no table reserved for us, or that they were unsure because “there was a lot going on.” I had booked a table for 10 kids in advance, so this was disappointing. Thankfully, they managed to organise a table for us, but it was left in a very messy condition. I had to clean it myself and set it up using my own decorations. There were no tablecloths, no cutlery, and no plates for the cake — luckily, I had brought my own, otherwise we would have been stuck.

Before the party, I had visited in person and spoke to someone who told me they were a manager. I asked if I could bring in a plate of food for the parents, and they said it was fine. However, on the day of the party, I was told I wasn’t allowed to bring any food in. This was confusing and frustrating, especially since I’ve seen other parties here where parents brought food. It would be really helpful if the staff were clearer and consistent on what is and isn’t allowed, to avoid misunderstandings.

We also had issues with the bowling, where we had to stop halfway due to technical problems, but to their credit, the staff fixed it quickly and we could continue.

I want to give a huge thank you to our party host, Summer. She was absolutely incredible she did everything she could to help, was kind, and supportive even when I was clearly under stress. She was the highlight of the experience and really turned things around for us. In the end, the manager also came to us, was very kind and apologetic, and offered us a discount for the inconvenience. Overall, while the party ended on a positive note, the initial disorganisation made it a stressful start. Tenpin Bowling at Capalaba is a truly wonderful place. What makes it stand out, time and time again, is its incredible staff. I have to give a special shout out to Mandy, whose humbleness and excellent customer service are beyond words. She is an absolute asset to the venue and always makes visits a pleasure.

The facility itself is top notch. The bowling floor is consistently well maintained, providing an authentic and smooth bowling experience. You can trust that your ball will go where you aim it. Combined with the really cheap prices, it offers unbeatable value.

My positive experience here was thrown into sharp relief after a recent visit to Kingpin at Chermside. The difference is night and day. At Kingpin, I was charged a staggering $95 for three games. To make matters worse, the floor was in such poor condition that the ball would deviate to the corner as soon as it reached the halfway point. I honestly felt like I was being robbed.

I will never bother with the overpriced and under maintained northern suburbs bowling again. Capalaba Tenpin is the real deal great prices, a genuine bowling experience, and staff like Mandy who make you feel valued. I can't recommend it...

I highly recommend this venue for parties, family fun times and just getting the teenagers together and off there dam phones!😂 We recently took our girl and five friends to enjoy two games, bought cake and balloons in... As a fun mum I knew I had one last shot at embarrassing my daughter so the team took my request in playing the birthday song with a microphone message attached.

I want to thank the whole team, in particular "Kel" ...Kel was just full of energy and truly ecaptulated what fun and enjoyment on the job is...

We always head to our local bowling and will always appreciate good old fashion customer service.
