The rating is deceiving for this little gem in Capalaba. Plain and unexpecting but you feel at home. The music played softly in the background and wasnt that duff duff garbage (sorry not my jam). Its a tad out of Capalaba Central. Over all enjoyed my breakfast and it was a nice place to be. It shows with the constant flow of customers. The staff were friendly. I had a little laugh with my waitress.
Positives I had eggs benny and a pot of tea. The eggs were cooked exactly as asked for. The tea pot already had milk in it which, to me, isnt why you have a pot. However, I didnt mind, because it was the perfect strength for me. Concerning - the condition of the building could be a lot better. The building could use a deep clean. There was no toilet facility. The seating was within council regulations for Redland Shire Council. Yet, with all that said, the tables and chairs were clean. Read moreThe chicken is great when it hasn't been sitting in a warmer all day beyond what's allowable for food. However they charge $2 extra for cutting up a chicken. Because they "have to go and cut it" and put it in a box....which seems to only be charged for when the staff are in a bad mood as we felt we were annoying them by asking for this. We were definitely made to feel like an inconvenience. She bagged the food separately and left it sitting on the counter touching the counter top half out the bag. We had to wait for chips to cook while she left the bagged hot food sitting on the counter top. I get it people have bad days. It's pretty much hit and miss here. The old woman who served me (and needed everything said twice) wouldn't allow me to use the toilet and kept pointing me to the service station, that is obviously under construction and doesn't have one at the moment. If you offer seats to eat, offer a dunny.
