This is my 3rd trip to MONA and somehow I had not known previously that the food element to this place existed (maybe because it’s called a Wine Bar I might have thought it was a cellar door?). Anyway, this trip we got to go prior to visiting the museum and were extremely surprised by the food on offer.

This place is like fine dining without the pretentious people / restaurant which is okay by us. We had the oysters, God’s Mezze and the King Prawn Poke Bowl to share. The dishes were packed with flavour, super delicious and plentiful.

The staff were super friendly, the restaurant was very spacious and the food came out quickly. All pluses in our book. Would definitely recommend you include it for your next...

Dont drink wine at the Moorilla Wine bar, as they ruin the experience by only providing plastic wine glasses. I understand that for those having picnics on the grass outdoor areas but I ondered a not inexpensive lunch & bottle of wine for dining inside the restaurant/bar area & sadly was advised that they don't use glass at all. We much preferred the wine tasting at the cellar door which allowed us to enjoy our tastings in a real glass. The food & ambience was nice in wine bar as well However I'll skip it next time and maybe try the ferry drinks, assuming what they call the " posh " ticket will not be provided in plastic semi clean picnic glasses. We...

I went here with the intention of buying a couple of products but I ended up doing a full tasting. It was a quiet day and the staff dropped the cost of the tasting for us which was a pleasant surprise. I am a massive fan of their beer Moo Brew and I think they make one of the best hefeweizen in the country and it was nice to sample all their products.

We were guided through their range of wines by the very knowledgeable staff member. I felt she was very generous with the amount of wine she was poring us too, which is not a bad thing. She even let us sample a wine that wasn't on the tasting list.

Very happy with our...

Went there for breakfast today Food - Good Ambiance - Good Coffee - Good Customer service and vibe from staff - poor Place was almost empty and there were probably 5 to 6 staff and everyone was occupied keeping each other entertained instead of greeting customers. We walked in while employees were just at some tables and chitchatting - no one said hi or where to sit etc. it felt like they were doing us a favour by letting us walk in and order. That’s just how we felt, doesn’t necessarily mean that was their intention. It will be nice if staff pay a little more attention to customers than to each other.

A visit to Mona in Hobart Tassie was not as confronting as I thought. But I do understand the hype, and what makes it different and interesting at the same time. Well that’s a different review…. Let’s talk about the Moorilla Wine Bar at the end of our tour. The Burrito was very tasty, good size which can also feed for 2 as a light snack. Our snack was accompanied with white wine and Aperol Spritz. Friendly service, entertainment with live music and then some when seated outside, clean and overall a really good atmosphere. It was quite a windy weekend but I can say the visit did not disappoint.
