Amazing Experience all together. Me and my husband recently visited Hobart it was our first trip to Tasmania from Sydney. We generally prefer high rise hotel with shopping center's nearby whenever we plan our holidays. This was the very first time we took the risk of staying in this motel with river view and trust me it was one of the best decisions of our journey. The reception staff, the housekeeping, the restaurant management everyone was very nice, friendly, energetic and welcoming. Our room was nice and cozy has beautiful river views very cute ducks welcoming us just outside on the porch. The ground area is around 8 acres so you can take a walk, hire a bicycle for whole day in just $15 bucks lots and lots of picnic spots, selfie spots and mother nature around wherever you go. Our room had a small fridge a huge tray with lots of tea, coffee and sugar sachets with cookies and a kettle as well. Lot of space to arrange your luggage and sit around. The best part was the heating stuff like a heater in the washroom, a heater in the room plus an electric blanket to keep you warm and enjoy your stay. Every morning if you like the housekeeping staff will be there to clean the rooms and change towels etc. which is another good thing. We didn’t get a chance to use this service as just after breakfast we always had plans to visit places. We took the breakfast included deal with the room so on our first day at check in we were given breakfast vouchers to keep it with us and hand it over one per person the next day at breakfast. For breakfast there are lot of free options like instant tea, coffee, juice and pancakes if you want an expresso coffee, they’ll make it and it is not very expensive I took mocha in both the days it was really good just costed me $4 per expresso for each day. We used our voucher and I ate big brekkie and my husband took Veggie Brekkie both were nice, fresh and very good quantity which made our day. All together we paid $236 for two nights and three days including breakfast from expedia website. See people can complaint for noise from other rooms or cars coming and going but seriously with the price, friendly people around and breath-taking views we really don’t have any complaints. Both me and my husband are business owners in Sydney and we really know the importance of customer service and customer satisfaction and wants to say thanks to the whole team for making our journey and stay so special. Special thanks to Kelly at the reception who is always smiling and Rossline who was an excellent server and made me such a good mocha. We will soon be planning again this year for another visit as three days were not enough for us. Tasmania has so much more to offer. I will be adding pictures in couple of days specially the outside the river view and our drone shots if possible. We really hope the management at the motel and people keeps doing the good work and hope the best for...

Read moreReview of Riverfront Hotel: Disappointing Experience
I am staying at the Riverfront Hotel for two nights in one of their two-storey buildings, and I am writing this review on my Day 1 experience which was terrible experience. Prior to booking, I carefully reviewed their policies, which clearly stated no smoking and no partying around the premises. However, during my stay, a group of 5-6 people in the room next to mine were drinking and smoking on the SHARED balcony. The smoke seeped into my room, giving me a massive headache.
I approached the receptionist to express my concerns, but she was unhelpful and dismissive. She claimed that smoking on the balcony was allowed, even though this seemed to contradict the hotel’s policy. What bothered me most was her attitude—she mentioned that the group consisted of workers who were staying there for several days, and it felt as though she was more concerned with not upsetting them than addressing my issues as a paying guest.
I requested a room change, but she informed me that the only available option was a villa, and I would have to pay extra for it. Essentially, I was told to either tolerate the situation or pay more for better accommodation, which was incredibly frustrating given that I was already enduring a poor stay.
The receptionist said she could ask the group not to smoke, but she made it clear that it was ultimately up to them, as the hotel's policy allowed them to drink and smoke on the balcony. The receptionist even said that she only works there so she can’t do anything about it. This was absurd—it’s their hotel and their policy, yet they refused to take responsibility for ensuring a pleasant experience for all guests.
I would not recommend Riverfront Hotel based on my experience. Their inability to enforce their own policies, combined with poor customer service, made my stay...
