This is, basically, original (and now scarce) bushland that hasn't been developed (fortunately) into housing. There are purposed made gravel tracks through the area. Unfortunately, a lot of it is very steep. Moderate fitness and strength will be required. It will help develop tgat fitness. Not suitable for elderly (especially frail or those with ok to moderate fitness). We did see some wikdflower during this walk but not much - maybe the wrong time of year (don't know). Good views down into the suburbs of Bellerive and Howrah and looking back to the city, with river views. It's good they have kept some bushland but it's nothing to be proud of. More bushland shoukd have been kept because there's not enough tree cover in Hobart and too much concrete contributing to higher...
Read moreIt's a nice spot and the first world war memorials are well presented. Having said that, the walking tracks are not well formed past the memorial and it can be a steep hike in spots. Definitely not pram friendly, but kids should be able to walk most of the park.
The views from the top of the hill are a very nice reward...
