Three hectares of natural bushland creates a beautiful haven for the native and exotic animals and birds that live at the Wave Rock Wildlife Park. Don’t miss the white, grey or silver kangaroos and wallabies, koalas, golden possums, deers, donkeys, alpacas, camels, exotic poultry, water birds, swans, owls, betongs, wombats and many more. Many other native animals and birds like the area so much that they have moved in, so keep an eye out for native birds and lizards that roam freely throughout the park. Tables and seating are provided throughout the park for your convenience. Please feel welcome to bring your own picnic lunch or alternatively you can purchase lunch, snacks and drinks at the Wildflower Shoppe Cafe. This wildlife park is solely cared for by a loving lady who has dedicated her life to these animals. Her love for elephants is a theme evident throughout the park. Read moreLovely staff, yummy food and very clean cafe/gift store but my 2 star rating is for the poor animals out back dirty and miserable is how I’d describe it sadly. The donkeys enclosure has a large sign saying “donkeys are under vet treatment” I’m going to say because of the complaints that follow this poor love is covered in wounds on both front and back legs which are infested with flies and a actively bleeding you can see how annoyed the animal is constantly stamping feet and twitching to shoo them off :( my photo is nothing more something to be seen in person. Overall looks like the wildlife have been given up on as the wombats would rather bake in the Horrid hot sun then in their cool shaded shelter which was so fly infested (the smell alone put you off) you’d think there was a bee hive in there. looks like it would have been such an amazing place in the beginning. And I don’t believe funds are an issue we managed to spend a solid $100 just on food drink and entry for two...
Read moreAn entrance fee of 20$ for the "Toy Soldier Museum", the "Lace Place", the "Offroad Museum" and the "Wildlife Park" sounds good right?
Well, the "Toy Soldier Museum" might be cool to see for kids, but the tables are overcrowed with toys and lack a nice form of presentation. Please invest some time to place them more nicely and distribute them over more tables. Enough space is available. Then, this museum can even be rated a solid 3 or 4 star.
The "Wildlife Park" was by far the worst experience. Some animals could roam freely others are held in tiny cages. A lama (or alpaca) was visible suffering when walking (one leg was shaking heavily). HELP THIS POOR ANIMAL OR PUT IT DOWN! The "Wildlife Park" is just a whole disgrace and nothing children should see and think this is the standard to take "care" of animals.
The "Lace Place" shows some weeding dresses from the last decades and a old car. You wouldn't miss much,...
