What an Breathtaking veiw! If you want some gorgeous veiws or pictures go here !! Not great for swimming, excellent for exploring! The bridge itself sits over the Thompson river which meets the ocean right at the bridge. You can get around under the bridge if you have a good pair of shoes and a bit of balance. There were no bathrooms, plenty to explore! We walked over the bridge for while then headed back to the stairs down to the beach. It was very windy but the sand was well behaved....

This old trestle bridge was once a part of the Woolamai-Wonthaggi rail line, which was closed in 1978. A wonderful spot to stop and admire both the beauty of the coastline, as well as this beautiful 12 metre high trestle bridge.

It now forms part of the Bass Coast Shire Rail Trail.

It is such a shame that this train line no longer exists as the coastal views along the trail would have made for a spectacular...
