Unfortunately I cannot rate this winery any higher. Yes, the grounds are lovely and inviting. The architecture is unique and compliments the backdrop of the Barosaa views well. My disappointment lies in food selection and comments from the staff. Myself and my son were told off by staff-trying to have some fun balancing, it may not be a place to take children but children are a part of everyones lives and to attend an event where we have no choice but to take our child we did our best to enjoy the day and keep him entertained, that wrote this place off for me. Lack of shade on the grass forced us to stay near the building, couldn't kick a ball if we wanted too :(

No other food selection to compliment the wine but cheese platters. Where are the wood oven pizza's, baguettes and tea cakes for those choosing your winery to celebrate an event??? I searched the website to find any alternatives and no food offered at all. Not all guests can eat cheese or gourmet plates with nuts or seeds. No selection to choose from made myself and my child feel ostracised. Limited shade cover too. Considered this place as a possible wedding venue as we first walked in, but after our experience we have discarded the idea.

We left feeling deflated. This place isn't an all round...

Walked in and walked out 20 minutes later! Really disappointed with this place :(

Was on a nice long weekend with my partner and came to this place because the reviews were good but sad to say, we must have caught them on a bad day!

We walked in and it was very quiet, and asked for a platter along with the tasting we planned on doing. Were promptly told to sit outside because we wanted food, on a freezing day, where there was no shade or portable heaters outdoors, and plenty of free tables inside.

We ate the platter outside with our first glass of rose, whilst waiting for the staff to come out and start the tasting as they advised they would and it started to rain. They walked past us continually to serve other people that were outdoors and completely ignored us.

Did not feel welcomed, and after a fantastic experience with Lambert Wines a mere 15 minutes earlier, we left pretty quickly and found somewhere else to go.

They seem to have put a lot of focus into their architecture and landscaping and not enough into their customer...

Fantastic wine tasting experience. We were hosted by Louise. We chose a back vintage tasting experience and I'd highly recommend doing that. As opposed to other places, they pour the wines in separate glasses all at once that are also marked in the sheet below them so you can go back and taste them again for comparison. I found that a great way of differentiating the flavours and going back to confirm. We also had a platter while we were tasting the wines, that we took outside to sit in the gardens with after the tasting. The gardens are a definite highlight... just go for that if you're not into wines. 5 stars, highly recommended, and high praise for the...

The extensive modern visitor's centre is a masterpiece. The manicured garden is especially worth a visit to replenish the soul. The structured garden of manicured topiary, lawn, vineyard, and Seppeltsfield"s rolling hills resembles a European landscape painting. The wine tasting experience is well worth it. It has a surprising Merlot and the very palatable Grenache Shiraz Mouvedre. It features my favourite of their wines, the Grenache . Booking is recommended for public holidays.

I recently visited Barossa Valley State for a winetasting and had a wonderful experience. While the restaurant wasn't overly crowded, I found the food prices to be slightly higher than expected with limited menu options. However, the wine expertise showcased during the tasting was truly impressive. It made the visit worthwhile. I don't believe private bookings are necessary, but I would recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure a spot and avoid potential disappointment
