Splashside — Attraction in Maryborough

While the place is relatively awesome when it's working, it seems to be closed for maintenance at the most odd times, like on a Sunday, during the warmer months, when there are hundreds of people who were keen to utilize it. I'm not an expert on such things or anything, so maybe it was an unexpected and unplanned closure, but if it was planned, it is ill-considered

Like many things in Maryborough, it seems a bit of an after thought. The lack of baby change facilities are a bother as well. Apparently you need a key from the council to open the actual baby room.

HOWEVER, when it's working, it works well, and really does entertain...

What a park! Plenty for all ages! The splash park has water spouts, a bucket and a unique little slide. There is plenty of parking, plenty of shaded tables and shade under trees to sit. Across the whole park is multiple parks and swings, with a liberty swing too. Toilet block, not super close to it all.

A beautiful walk by the pond full of swans and ducks!

The grass was also really well cared for and wonderfully soft, perfect for picnics!

There is also a skate park right at the top! Definitely something...

A great park area. There are a few different areas and styles and lots of opportunities for splashing. There are corners they can go around and plants, so have to keep an eye out. As expected it is in the sun so it is a balance between wanting to splash and getting baked in the middle of a summer day. Adjacent are great playgrounds, good sitting areas with and without covers, mature trees, a skate park and BMX track. We will definitely go again when next...
