Kebab King Restaurant — Restaurant in Maryborough

So I've been coming here for a long time and quite regularly. Food always taste great, this time no real exception on the taste of the kebab.

While I was waiting for my order I watched the younger guy with short blonde, almost spiky hair preparing a salad for a woman. The guy was wearing only one glove, and got sauce on the hand with no glove. Then I watched him lick it off his fingers, he looked at me after doing it, then literally kept preparing this woman's food. I watched him holding her kebab with the hand he had just licked. Thankfully the guy didn't touch my food so I just ate my normally, watched it made by the other fella and its fine so I don't mind at all. The drink I got out of the fridge expires in April, which is fine, but I didn't notice until I got back to work the seal was already cracked and it was completely flat.

So the hygiene of the place is definitely a mess, and pretty damn disgusting that the kid did that. No way to know how many other times he's done it. Rest of the workers always seem fine enough, never do anything nasty like that.

The owner isn't exactly the nicest either, was walking literally right behind him and he didn't try and hold the door or anything, just charged straight through to the kitchen. Not a big thing but being polite is normally a good way to make...

The one star is for service from the young lady there and, the cleanliness of the store Food is atrocious. Chips were barely cooked (one i bit into was still cold in the middle) and soggy. Kebab wasn't tucked at the bottom so stuff fell out and it's wasn't really packed like a kebab should be, especially given the price and extras you pay for. Onto the HSP (snackpack): chips soggy and uncooked. Cheese was only in one spot BUT it was between the meat and chips so at least it was in the right spot. I got a mixed HSP but counted only 8 very tiny pieces of chicken (like the left over bits after you shred a chicken). Also the staff haven't been taught how to make a proper snack pack. They dont pop the meat on the grill after slicing it off and give it a few cuts so there's not long long pieces of lamb. The sauce was okay but it's weird they don't have tzatziki. 10/10 unhappy as I ended up cooking dinner after buying dinner. Happy to give the owner/manager a demo on making a snack pack/HSP, ...

When a coffee is made with love it is a stand out coffee. The care taken in its preparation and delivery is reflected in its quality and taste. Apparently this is true of kebabs too. I travel widely as a part of my job. Maryborough friends, Kebab king surely produces the King of Kebabs. I did not think it possible there could be such a stand out kebab. My experience here is absolutely life changing. The kebab was PERFECT . Tasty generous lashings of meat with a perfectly proportioned balance of salad. I bought a small chips too - again - best ever. Crispy outside soft and fluffy inside. Cooked in super clean oil - no debris at all attached to a perfectly chicken salted chip. If there were Michelin hats for Kebabs this is surely the top of the category. Maryborough DO NOT take this place for granted it is bloody sensational.
