Honestly, we thought we’d missed the show—but to our delight, the garden was still glowing with gorgeous colours! It felt like a beautiful surprise gift from nature, and we couldn’t have been happier.
If you’re wondering whether autumn’s done and dusted in the Dandenong Ranges—spoiler alert—it’s not! There’s still plenty of vibrant foliage to enjoy, and we reckon the colours will linger for at least another week.
We arrived just before 10am and had no trouble finding parking. When we left around 1:30pm, though, the car park was full and there was a queue—so early birds definitely win this one.
The weather was simply perfect—sunny skies, crisp air, and a lake so still it reflected the golden leaves like a dream. It was almost surreal, like stepping into a painting.
Gwen had a fabulous time too—she got plenty of attention from friendly visitors saying hello, and she soaked it all in like a true little star.
