This is a beautiful site for a picnic, a barbeque or a bush-walk. The facilities are quite limited, and due to covid, the barbeques are currently switched off, but otherwise it is a great choice. The forest here is amazing, particularly if you take the walk down to the falls. Huge Eucalypus Regnans (Mountain Ash) tower over a lower-story of tree ferns. Near the picnic ground the forest is open and light. Towards the falls it is in deep shadow, and Lyrebirds can often been seen scratching in the leaf-litter. The walk is gentle, with just one steeper set of steps down to the falls. The falls themselves will likely disappoint as they are clogged with fallen trees, but the view down the valley above the falls will make up for it. If you are close enough, this makes a lovely after-work stroll. From further away, bring a lunch, meets the Kookaburras (who will be standing ready to deal with any sausages left unattended) then take a gentle walk through the forest to get the deep-ferns, tall trees experience. BTW, you can continue on once you reach the falls and complete your walk as a loop without extending the length...

Very small falls, you will see a trickle over one small rock BUT: great place for a calm hike. 7.5km, about 2 hours round circuit at a calm pace with no kids. You can go left (Clockwise) at the falls down a muddy Fern covered downhill trail if you are feeling adventurous (but bring boot cleaning implements) or go right (Anti) down a good wide track if you want to stay clean. Left track reaches a little bridge after you go right at the fork then is all uphill back around to the falls with one section alongside the road after you exit through the bottom gate, just re-enter through the gate you will see at what looks like a makeshift roadside parking area. Right track just does the opposite so stop at the gate, turn around and go back up to the falls for a short hike or continue on to see more trees (re-enter through the bottom gate and tackle the muddy uphill climb (not recommended, you will arrive back at your car with more mud than if you...
