Great to finally see this public land open to the general public. The fact it is open and the works undertaken to date are a testament to the people responsible. The park is yet to have its potential fully realized and there is decades of work ahead to restore the land. There's a nice pocket of heath-land in reasonable condition in the NW corner. Much of the park however is choked with invasive weed species like Sallow Wattle. Despite this the bird-life is great and most days I go my ears are ringing with frog calls. I enjoy the many walking trails but the, in some areas, steep and slippery terrain will limit access for some. At this stage facilities are limited to the entrance car park, bicycle rack and signage. Maps took us a different route which ended up in a dead end residential street.
Only one carpark entrance into the place but many pedestrian access points. Gates open 6am - 6pm noted on signage at carpark entry on 20/11/2024.
Nice location for a park run!! With many walking/running tracks and also bike tracks too. Different circuits available throughout the place. No toilets at carpark. Huge water area to canoe or standup paddle board. No pets allowed. A beautiful place to explore the nature and see all the beautiful species...

Nice walking tracks and HUGE lake that you can canoe and stand up paddle board on. The water is clean and very clear. Lots of wildlife.

The directions to get in the place are terrible on any map system.
