My Old beach is like a concentration camp with fences and rules about where you can go and at what times. In an attempt to win people back they have put fake reviews on here and also parking is free where you once had to pay. It doesn't matter the car Parks are empty. My particular dislike while driving to gummanatta beach was that you are not even allowed to have your dog in the car and drive to the look out. Read moreWonderful place to visit. A little far to reach from the city center of Melbourne, it takes about 3 h to get there, 1h by train till Frankston and 2 h by bus till Portsea. Then you can choose to walk (or take a tourist bus, 10$ return fare) to get to the promontory where you can admire, on one side, the bay of Melbourne, the wild waves of the ocean on the other side. The site has been also a military outpost that now you can visit for free.
