Incredibly over-rated.
The actual golf course is a “3” at best, or high “2” out of 5. Substandard greens, long fairways with rubbish gullies or trenches running across them, tees where you have to hit blind and can’t see your ball landing.
When the naval gun practice range is firing it is VERY unpleasant. Pro shop staff member I dealt with was surly, but that is only one person. However the clubhouse had only the cheapest pub food when our group arrived for lunch, apparently due to a staff member being absent. One staff member away, and the whole restaurant folds? Lunch was delicious. Calamari was fresh and well cooked. Soft and tender. The dumplings were also surprisingly tasty with actual chunks of prawns. Top notch for a golf club.
Facilities were clean.
Cart was pretty good and comfortable seats with GPS tracking distances to the hole.

Lost a ball in the coffin and landed in the next ditch.
Definitely would...
