Named after Carl Nobelius who founded the nursery in 1851 & was operated by the family for 70 years. Has been preserved & converted into parkland with the original plantings & trees.

Especially lovely in autumn! The Emerald Museum is located here (open on weekends). Puffing Billy stops here enroute to Emerald Lake - platform is at Nobelius Nursery building.

Walking trails connect to Emerald Lake (hardly 2 kms away). Parking & toilets further down Crichton Rd. You can navigate pram & wheelchair but note - area is on a downward slope - so...

Grew up near here has changed alot use to be very over grown which made it much more fun as kids to play in. One shelter, one museum & the packing shed up the top of the hill. Could do with better bbq facilities, a public toilet block & more public shelter areas to make it more family friendly, but I think the best part is the free parking and walking into the Emerald Lake Park...
