The Shed Skatepark — Attraction in Melbourne

I love it here, the surface is slippery in comparison to concrete skateparks so I would be swapping your wheels out for something a bit more suitable for the surface but the surface is much more forgiving for falls than concrete you just slide out of the impact which is nice.

The mini ramp in the corner is awesome because it has a side rail and a wall for additional balancing support for complicated coping tricks.

The bowl is an awesome height, the vert is awesome, the mini ramp located towards the vert gives you a bit more seconds of thought between each ramp. The runs are great. It's overall a great place, oh and the guy who works most day shifts makes a great coffee and is nice and honest about everything. The guy with the Mo who is a skateboarder is also great he helped me with some new bearings.

Only complaint would be sometimes the playlist choices of music can be quiet frankly.. boring. Need aggressive high tempo songs. Especially for the night sessions which have...

The Shed is an awesome skatepark. Staff are super friendly, know their stuff, and clearly enjoy being there. Super helpful with repairs too. It’s great for kids and adults, with solid practice areas and a really supportive vibe overall. Honestly can’t fault the place itself.

Now the website… different story.

The old one? Functional. This one? Feels like it was built by a toaster with WiFi. I tried to grab a 6-month membership and somehow ended up on a page for swimming lessons? Repeatedly, Not even mad, just confused. Lost a full hour of my life clicking around in circles, might need counselling.

Skatepark: brilliant. Staff: legends. Website: reboot and try again, I’m ok with change but only when it’s an improvement.

The food at this place is always very good, and I’m impressed by how quickly it’s prepared and served. Everything comes out fresh, hot, and full of flavour, which makes the experience enjoyable every time. The wings in particular deserve a special mention — they are honestly the best I have ever had. They’re cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of crispiness on the outside and tenderness on the inside, and the flavouring is outstanding.

Not only is the food consistently delicious, but the speed of service also makes it even better. I never feel like I’m waiting too long, and the quality never drops even when it’s busy. This combination of fast service and amazing food really sets this place apart, and it’s why I’ll definitely keep...
