The smell of full septic tanks all day was really bad, been here for 4 days and did not go away. They feed the dolphins which is really not good for them but they do it to rac some extra money from the tourists after charging fees for the park entry even though you paid for all park pass in Western Australia. 30 minutes for a coffee when the bar was empty, literally the food came out before the coffee. Customer service was amazing. I reccommend to bring your own food, the general store is very basic and very expensive. Pools, toilets, amenities, everything well maintained. I would definetly go back, hopefully they get rid of the bad smell

Sunrise view point. Perfect place for photography. Great views. Entry ticket $35 (family, 2 adults & 2 kids). Per person $15. Concession available. Entry fee is different from National park fee, must have to purchase on arrival. Based on per person, not per vehicle. Please have ready your sunglasses once the sun started to rise. The view was really amazing. We were not lucky to meet dolphins but met with one turtle. Couldn’t spend much time there, had to move. Careful about Kangaroos around the road if driving at night, they are very naughty & got excited when saw us in the very early morning.

Shark Bay is one of the most beautiful and unique places in Western Australia. The colours alone—red cliffs, white sand, and turquoise water—are stunning. We visited Monkey Mia to see the dolphins up close, which was a real highlight. Also loved exploring the stromatolites at Hamelin Pool and driving through Francois Peron National Park with its incredible coastal views. It’s peaceful, remote, and packed with natural wonders. A must-visit if you’re travelling the Coral Coast.

A beautiful spot - white sandy beaches, short beach walks through the conservation park, and wildlife. As others mention, you are charged an entry fee at the gate on arrival. $15 per adult, $5 per child, or $35 per family pass (Max 2 adults & 2 children). This is not included in any accommodation booking you may have at the RAC Resort or DBCA Parks Pass. Dolphin feedings only occur in the morning (up to 3 times). Personally, I'm of the opinion that the fee is extortionate. Primarily because I had no interest in supporting or attending the dolphin show. However, I appreciate that for some, this may be the only time they have an opportunity to get up close to dolphins.

The food at the restaurant is ok, but you are pretty much a captive audience, so don't expect value for money. That said, the view is wonderful, especially for an evening meal.

Tip: Arrive mid- late afternoon to enjoy the beach or restaurant and you're likely to avoid the reserve fee as the gate is usually no...

If you want to spend 15 minutes in the sun and flies listening to 3 people in Covid masks telling you all about the things you can’t do around the dolphins, while watching them do those exact same things, go for it. Seeing the dolphins was nice, but I’ve seen dolphins up close even on the Swan River 5 minutes from home. There’s too many restrictions. A few people got to put their feet in the water, but every time the dolphins got close, they made them go back on the sand. The public doesn’t get to feed the dolphins, just the staff feeds them a couple of pieces of fish and that’s it. Unless you’ve never seen a dolphin before, it’s not worth the drive out to Monkey Mia. You’re better off taking a day trip to Penguin Island in Rockingham if you live in Perth. I get the feeling that while the staff tell you the restrictions are for the good of the dolphins, it’s really all about keeping people coming to their...

We drove here as we explored Denham and the surrounding NP but when we got here we were confronted with a $15 fee each, which personally to see a beach we were not happy to pay this at the gate which had an attendant taking payments via eftpos. Living full time on the road we have to be wise with our money and this is something we were not keen to spend our money on. We decided to turn around as there are amazing beaches nearby, maybe it was the wrong decision but having already fed a dolphin before it was nothing too exciting for us to stay.
