My favourite spot in Mount Gambier. Beautiful scenery and lovely feel about 5 minutes drive from the town centre yet it feels a world away. There's nothing better on a fine day than to pile the dogs into the car and take them down to Valley Lake. They love exploring the grounds, saying hello to the cute ducks and having lots of sniffs. Can easily spend an hour roaming around without realising how much time has passed. The dogs have to be on leash at all times but that is totally understandable and they still have a tonne of fun. Always find the recreation area to be well kept, clean and tidy with good facilities (lots of bins, good toilets, barbecues etc.) and the playground area is very large and would be great fun for the kids.
