I'd like to thank the team at Blackwattle Alpaca Farm for the wonderfully unique experience enjoyed by my family this weekend.
We booked a Pacca Party package for our group of 10 to celebrate my mum's 70th birthday. The party room was warm, immaculately set-up and had lovely views onto the paddocks. The charcuterie board we ordered was delicious and a generous serving. We appreciated that we were allowed to also bring our own food, made it easier to feed 2 people in our party who have quite specific dietary needs.
As for the tour and our interactions with the Alpacas and Llamas, well this was thoroughly enjoyed by us all from our 6mth old right up to our 70 year old birthday person. There were LOTS of them to pat, feed, admire and photograph. We learnt a lot about them too, our friendly tour guide was more than happy to share her knowledge and answer of our questions. We were never rushed through the experience and we were encouraged to interact with as many of the Alpacas and Llamas as we liked.
The animals are well cared for, and well mannered (we could've been lucky but not one of us got spat on).
If you're after a fun experience, not too far from Canberra with the friendliest hosts (both of the human and furry kind) I highly recommend you head over...
Read moreTruly wonderful experience visiting this farm during the Easter weekend. Farm is very beautiful, well maintained with breath taking views providing picturesque backdrop for the visit. Beautiful, incredibly cute, gentle, loving alpacas 🦙 and llamas who will make your day. Highly recommend booking the tour (farm tour or the adventure tour) online and you’ll be guided by staff who are very knowledgeable. They’ll share interesting facts about these lovely animals, their behaviours, how they got their names and something about farming practices. Absolutely loved the farm walk with alpacas, feeding & petting them which was so much fun. Our tour also included a drink and a snack too. Overall great experience, highly recommend this place. Thanks...
Read moreWe had such a wonderful morning today at Blackwattle Alpaca Farm on a hand-feeding tour. We had our 2 and 3 yr olds with us and it was such an up close and genuine experience. We were greeted by Jac who obviously loves her work. She knew so much about all the alpacas and llamas, even all their names! Everyone got their own bucket of feed and we could feed away and get up close to all the animals. A really great family experience. We also got insight into the playgroup craft session which included colouring in and alpaca hair to stick on a piccy so that would be a great experience for the kids too! Can't recommend...
